Our art workshops mix music, dance (Latin America, Eastern Europe, Spain), theatre and visual arts.
They are held by teachers specialized in each area – music, dance, drawing art, sculpture and the children are looked after by our team of qualified monitors.
On Fridays, your children and the pedagogical team will present you two little shows !
at 1:00 pm (for the kids attending mornings)
at 5:00 pm (for the kids attendings days or afternoons)
The Art workshops are open to children from 3 to 12 years old.
The workshops take place from 9 :00 am to 1 :00 pm (lunch meal included) and from 2 :00 pm to 5:00 pm. Children can be hosted from 8:00 am and until 6:00 pm. For children registered only on mornings, the ten o’clock snack and the lunch meal are included (but lunch meal is not compulsory, the child can end the workshop at noon). For children registered for the whole day, the ten o’clock snack, lunch meal and afternoon snack are included. The smaller ones will take a nap at the beginning of the afternoon. Children will be distributed in the activities of the day according to their age – groups of 3 to 5 years old, 6 to 9 years old, 10 to 12 years old. Certain activities will take place outside to enjoy the good weather. If they have one, the children can bring their musical instrument.
Contents of the artistic workshops:
Each workshop of a week long or of a week of half-days long mixes music, dance, theatre and visual art. By participating in our workshops, your child will thus take part in activities involving these three fields. Each week of the summer, a common theme is chosen to gather these different artistic activities under the same "roof”. The themes are chosen in reference to a culture - Russia, Latin America, Canada, etc. or to an artistic activity - the Circus, the Brass band, the Orchestra.
Morning and afternoons workshops of the same week are organized around the same theme and contain both music, dance and visual art, but they differ in the contents of the activities. So, if your child follows morning and afternoon workshops of the same week, he will participate in activities that differ from mornings to afternoons while, of course, being complementary.

August 5th to 9th : The Mystery of Pyramids
August 12 to 16th : In the Discovery of Australia
August 19th to 23th : The Big North of the Vikings
LOCATION : CHARMILLES, Espace 99, 99 rue de Lyon, Geneva.
The building of “Le 99” is located at the exit (direction Meyrin) of the Shopping mall of Charmilles. You can thus use the parking lot of the shopping centre which is free for a 90 minutes stay.
We will give you the mobile phone number of the person in charge with the organization of the workshops in the building of “Le 99” at the moment of the confirmation of registration. In that way, you will be able to reach her on the spot of “Le 99”, any time, during the workshops. Our desk will be open during whole summer.
DATES : Summer holidays 2013, from Monday July 1st to Friday August 23th
PRICES : 350.- a week for mornings, morning snack and lunch meal included
320.- a week for afternoons, snack included
650.- a week for whole days, all meals included
80.- a morning, meals included/ 70.- an afternoon, snack included
10.- supplement/day if hosting before 9:00 am and/or after 5:00 pm
The price of a workshop can be paid in 2 or 3 times if it's more suitable for you.
FAMILIES :
From the 2nd child of the same family registered, you will have a discount of 20% on the price of the 2nd workshop.
REGISTRATIONS :
You can register your child by phoning us at 022.731.75.76 or directly on our website.The registration form is available on the right of the top of this page. When you send the form to us, we receive a copy of it and you receive as well a copy of it at your email address. You will then have to print it, write the date on it and sign it, before sending it to us by post to Ecole Savoir et Bien-être, Secrétariat, 16 rue Richemont, 1202 Genève. (You can also scann it and send it to us in pdf).
The amount that you will have to pay according to your registration will be communicated to you by email. If you want to receive a paper paying slip at home, you can just mention it in the field “Remarks” on the registration form.
Your child’s place in the artistic workshop will be definitively reserved from reception of the web registration or your registration by phone. The paiment is due as soon as the registration is made, but it can be dispatched in 2 or 3 different monthly payments if it is more suitable for you. Thank you for being aware of the fact that once a registration is made (by internet or phone), if you decide later on to cancel it, a 50.- CHF fees tax will be due in any case, unless the cancelation is made less than three days after the registration.

Hosting
The supervision of the children is assured by a team of qualified instructors with experience. The artistic activities are led by music, dance and visual arts teachers from the pedagogical team of Savoir et Bien-être
The group of children from 3 to 5 years old is specially very much looked after, permanently having two adult instructors - in addition to the teacher - for a group of 10 children, and three adult instructors if the number of children is slightly superior to 10. We also have one more adult accompanying this particular group of kids whenever the children need to change rooms inside the building of the "99" when attending different workshops, meals and snacks and when we spend time on the inside terrace. Since the building also hosts a kindergarden, the whole place is very much thought for the security of small children. This is also why we use the kindergarden terrace when we go outside with the smallest ones, instead of going out on the outside playground.
For the other groups of children (6 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old), the group is looked after by the teacher plus one adult instructor, two if the group is slightly superior to 10 children.
Most of the age groups form classes of around 10 kids (sometimes a little less). As soon as the group goes up to 15 kids, the age group will be cut in two different classes, in order for the kids to be always adequatly looked after.
Equipment
Casual and not delicate clothing, slippers or indoor shoes, sun hat or cap. If your child already has a special shirt that he uses for painting at his school or kindergarden, you can also put it in his belongings. If he doesn't have one, we will gladly lend one to him.
GENERAL CONDITIONS :
- Usually the children must have computed 3 years at the time of the workshops. The direction of the school can decide to host children a little bit younger if it seems likeable that he could follow a workshop meant for 3 to 5 years old kids easily.
- To guarantee the quality of the hosting of the children, the number of places by workshop is limited.
- We host children who speak any language. There is always at least one person in our pedagogical team who speaks english and also often one person who speaks spanish.
- Disabled children are welcome, unless there is a problem of accessibility we cannot solve.
- You can pick up the days of workshops “à la carte”. Workshops are planned by theme over a week.You can register your child for a week, whole days, or for a week half-days (mornings or afternoons), but it is also possible to register your child for given days or half-days.
- As long as our website does not indicate that one week is booked out, it means that there are places still available for registration. You can also have this information by e-mail or by telephone at our Secretariat.
- Withdrawals and refunds : any withdrawal must be communicated as quickly as possible by e-mail or mail to the Secretariat of Savoir et Bien-être: information(at)savoiretbien-etre.com or Ecole Savoir et Bien-être, Secrétariat, 16 rue Richemont, 1202 Genève.Thank you for telling us in this mail your banking references so that we can make the refund.
An amount of CHF 50.-will be held back in every case of withdrawal (management fees of the file).
For withdrawals occurring : between the month (30 days) and the 15 days before the beginning of the workshop, 50 % of the price of the workshop (according to the number of workshop days registered) will be held back or billed.
For withdrawals occuring within the 2 weeks (14 jours) days before the beginning of the workshop, the totality of the price of the workshop (according to the number of days registered) will be held back or billed. The refund of 50 % of the amount due will be made on the display of a medical certificate for the child.
- S&B holds up the right to cancel one or several workshops if the minimum number of registrations required is not reached or for any other reason independent from our will. In that case, the totality of the made payments will be paid off right away. Until today, we never had to cancel a week of workshop because there were not enough children registered, so you can be almost sure from the moment you registered your child that he will be hosted without any problem.
